These terms of sale (the “Terms”) apply to sales and reservations made with 7IT Group through the shop on www.7itgroup.com, on WhatsApp or by phone: online courses, new and pre-owned IT equipment, and leasing offers. They are written in French and English, in accordance with Framework Law No. 2011/012 of 6 May 2011 on consumer protection in Cameroon. You can view them at any time, save or print them.

1. The seller

Seven IT SARL, a limited liability company trading as 7IT Group, whose registered office and premises are located at Ngousso, derrière la Pharmacie Bleue, Yaoundé, Cameroon. Full legal information is available in our legal notice.

2. Scope

These Terms apply to all customers, whether consumers or businesses. Reserving or buying a product implies acceptance of these Terms, expressed by ticking the box on the reservation form or by confirming the purchase. The applicable version is the one in force on the date of your reservation or purchase.

Leasing offers are also governed by a specific contract (section 8). Our services (managed IT, in-person training, projects…) are governed by their own quotes and contracts.

3. Products and prices

  • The essential characteristics of each product are presented on its page. Illustrations that are not actual photographs of the product are not contractual.
  • The condition of pre-owned equipment is described on its page; the words “pre-owned” appear on your invoice or receipt, in accordance with section 11 of Framework Law No. 2011/012.
  • Prices are shown in CFA francs (FCFA). They are net prices: 7IT Group does not add any tax. As equipment is collected from our premises, no delivery charge is added.
  • For online courses, an amount in euros is shown for information only, based on the fixed parity €1 = 655.957 FCFA. For a purchase from abroad, the final amount to pay, including any taxes due in your country, is shown by the payment platform before you confirm the payment.
  • Offers and prices are valid while displayed on the website and while stocks last. The price of equipment is confirmed to you together with its availability (section 5.1).

4. Online courses

4.1 Purchase and payment

Online courses are bought from their page, using the “Buy the course” button, which leads to the secure payment page of our online sales platform; a separate payment page may be offered to customers located in Europe. The steps are as follows: you choose the course, tick the box requesting immediate access (section 4.3), enter your details on the payment page, check the order summary and its total price (and correct any errors if needed), then pay by Mobile Money (MTN, Orange) or bank card. You then receive access to the course and a confirmation by email. The platform’s terms also apply to the payment.

4.2 Access and use

The course is available as soon as payment is confirmed. You are granted a personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable right of use: sharing, reselling, distributing or publishing all or part of the course is prohibited. To equip several people, contact us for a team licence. The content remains the property of 7IT Group.

4.3 Right of withdrawal

As the course is supplied immediately at your request as downloadable files, the right of withdrawal can no longer be exercised once the download has started (section 22 of Law No. 2010/021 of 21 December 2010 governing electronic commerce in Cameroon). Before accessing the payment page, you tick a box by which you request this immediate access and acknowledge that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal. For consumers residing in the European Union, the same principle applies under Article 16(m) of Directive 2011/83/EU.

If a file is defective or inaccessible, we provide you with a working version or, failing that, a refund.

5. New and pre-owned equipment

5.1 Reservation

You reserve equipment from its page (“Reserve this product” form), on WhatsApp or by phone. Before sending the form, you check and can correct the product, the quantity and your details. Reservations are free and involve no online payment.

We acknowledge receipt of your request and confirm availability, price and collection time as soon as possible, and within 5 days at the latest. The sale is concluded at our address on the date of this confirmation. If the product is no longer available, we let you know and offer an alternative or cancellation, free of charge.

5.2 Reservation period

Once confirmed, the equipment is held for you for 3 business days. After this period, the reservation is cancelled free of charge, unless we agree to extend it.

5.3 Payment

Payment is made on collection, by cash, Mobile Money (MTN, Orange) or bank transfer. For a product ordered specially for you (not in stock), a deposit may be requested, with your agreement, before we order it from our supplier; it is deducted from the price and refunded if we cannot supply the product. The equipment becomes your property once paid in full.

5.4 Collection

Equipment is collected from our premises, Ngousso, derrière la Pharmacie Bleue, Yaoundé, Cameroon, at the time agreed in the confirmation, on presentation of the reservation confirmation and an identity document. Another person may collect it on your behalf with a written authorization.

On collection, we check the equipment together (operation, accessories, condition). We give you an invoice or receipt stating the product’s characteristics and its warranty. Risks pass to you on collection. Delivery or installation can be arranged on request, on quotation.

6. Right of withdrawal for equipment

If you are a consumer and your purchase was concluded at a distance (website, WhatsApp, phone), you have 15 days from the day after collection to withdraw, without giving any reason (section 20 of Law No. 2010/021). Simply let us know by email or WhatsApp, then bring the product back unaltered, complete and, if possible, in its original packaging. Return costs are at your expense. We refund you within 15 days of the product’s return, using the payment method you used, unless agreed otherwise.

In accordance with section 22 of the same law, withdrawal is not possible for products configured to your personal specifications, or for software whose packaging has been opened or which has been downloaded, except in the event of an apparent or hidden defect. Business customers are not entitled to a right of withdrawal, unless specifically agreed.

7. Warranties and after-sales service

7.1 Legal guarantees

All our products benefit from the guarantees provided by law, in particular the guarantee against hidden defects under the Civil Code and, for business customers, the provisions of the OHADA Uniform Act on General Commercial Law. If the product does not match your order, you may return it within 15 days of collection; we then refund you within 15 days of its return (section 21 of Law No. 2010/021).

7.2 Commercial warranties

  • New equipment: manufacturer’s warranty, the duration of which is shown on the product page and on your invoice. We handle the procedures with the manufacturer for you.
  • Pre-owned equipment: 7IT Group warranty covering parts and labour, the duration of which is shown on the product page and on your invoice. It covers failures occurring under normal use.

Commercial warranties do not cover damage caused by a fall, impact, liquid, power surge, misuse or unauthorized repair. These exclusions do not affect the legal guarantees.

7.3 After-sales service

In accordance with section 10 of Framework Law No. 2011/012, we provide after-sales service for the equipment we sell. Bring the product to our premises with your invoice: we diagnose it, then repair, replace or refund it according to the applicable warranty. Outside the warranty, we offer a repair on quotation. Remember to back up your data before handing over a device: we can help you do so.

8. Leasing

Our leasing packages are offered on quotation. Each offer gives rise to a specific contract, signed before any commitment, which sets out in particular the equipment supplied, the minimum term, the amount of the payments and the total cost, the services included (installation, maintenance…), and the conditions for renewal, termination and end of contract. Throughout the contract, the equipment remains the property of 7IT Group or its financing partner. These Terms apply to any matter not covered by that contract.

9. Liability

7IT Group is responsible for the proper performance of its obligations, except in the event of force majeure or fault on the customer’s part. For business customers only, and to the extent permitted by law, the liability of 7IT Group is limited to the amount of the order concerned. Nothing in these Terms limits the rights and guarantees granted to consumers by law (section 35 of Framework Law No. 2011/012).

10. Force majeure

Neither party is liable for a failure caused by an unforeseeable, irresistible event beyond its control. The obligations concerned are suspended for the duration of the event; if it lasts more than 30 days, either party may cancel the order, with a refund of sums paid for services not performed.

11. Personal data

Data provided when reserving or buying is used to process your order, for invoicing and for after-sales service. It is never sold. We only send you commercial offers with your consent. To find out more and exercise your rights, see our privacy policy.

12. Records and evidence

We keep order confirmations and invoices. On request, we send you within 10 days a document summarizing all the details of your purchase (section 19 of Law No. 2010/021). Exchanges by email and WhatsApp may serve as evidence of the order.

13. Complaints and disputes

For any complaint, contact us by email, on WhatsApp or at our premises: we will look for an amicable solution with you. If you are a consumer, you may also seek assistance from a consumer association.

These Terms are governed by Cameroonian law, in particular Law No. 2010/021 of 21 December 2010 governing electronic commerce, Framework Law No. 2011/012 of 6 May 2011 on consumer protection and, between businesses, the OHADA Uniform Acts. Consumers residing outside Cameroon retain the protection of the mandatory provisions of the law of their country of residence. Failing an amicable settlement, the dispute will be brought before the competent court; between businesses, before the courts of Yaoundé.
